Local music legend Joe Terry hosts a really fun trivia night every Wednesday night at Q Enoteca. He’s a riot on stage, cracking jokes and getting the crowd involved throughout. He asks questions on everything from local history to classic movies and of course, music. Terry has toured the world with some of the Ozarks’ greatest bands like the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, the Skeletons and the Morells. He shares some of his experiences on stage and his knowledge in the trivia. Plus, you’re at Q Enoteca, so you can enjoy some fine wines, great service and the other awesome local shops on Historic C Street!
The Backlot at Alamo Drafthouse | 4005 South Avenue
If movie trivia is your thing, then naturally you should be hanging out at the Alamo Drafthouse. The in-theater restaurant and bar the Backlot has a weekly movie trivia event called Trivia Tuesday. Coincidentally, it takes place during happy hour, which makes it a perfect way to relax after work with a few friends. Each week they have a new theme. In August for example, it’s back to school movies. There are five rounds, each one with a different element of film as the theme. You’ll need a well rounded knowledge to win!
Pop Culture Trivia & Trivia Binge
Patton Alley Pub | 313 S Patton Ave
Every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. the folks at Patton Alley Pub put on a really fun pop culture trivia night. You might get a question on Harry Potter followed by a question on Star Wars. You never really know what’s gonna come up! On Sundays, Kyle and Lauryl host Trivia Binge which is for teams of 2-5 people. The hosts are super-entertaining and of course, there’s plenty to eat and rink while you play!

This pub quiz is a little different than all the others. It burns through nearly 70 multimedia questions in two exciting hours. The quizmaster gets to know the players, and smack talk flies around in all directions. You don’t have to sign up or pay to play. Just show up. Teams can be up to six people and winners get Lost Signal gift cards that can be used on their next trip to the bar! There are also prizes for free beer after every round!
Tuesday Trivia Night
PaPPos – South Side
6 Rounds. 6 People per team. Some of the best pizza and drinks in Springfield. What else can you ask for? PaPPo’s on Battlefield does Ttrivia night right. Starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, they’ll have a bunch of teams vying for the top spot. Each night there’s a new theme. Some recent examples include a Parks and Rec night, a Roseanne night and a Star Wars night.
Trivia at the Flea

Also on Tuesday nights, you can enjoy a themed trivia night at the student friendly bar in Downtown Springfield, the Flea. They always seem to have an interesting topic, which they sometimes reveal on Mondays via their Facebook page. Some past topics include mysterious Hollywood deaths, portmanteaus in pop culture and the number 33. So creative! They also have regular game nights where they play Cards Against Humanity, Twister and many others.
Wasted Knowledge Wednesdays

Such a great name. Wasted Knowledge Wednesdays happen at 417 Tap House the third hump day of every month. They’re usually centered around a TV show or movie series like the Office or Friends. Plus, you get to enjoy the awesome beverages and delicious food they have to offer!

Just 467 steps away from Hammons Field, the Dugout is a fan favorite for lovers of the Springfield Cardinals. It’s also a great place to spend those last few moments of your weekend, playing pop culture trivia with some fellow baseball fans. On the menu, you’ve gotta try the french fries. No matter what. Finnegan’s doesn’t play around. When they do something, they go big. Their trivia nights are no exception. They’ll regularly have hundreds of people show up to their Wednesday night trivia. With really fun topics like Game of Thrones, Golden Girls and Rock’n’Roll Trivia, it’s no surprise. Just another great reason to go hang out at one of Springfield’s favorite bars.
