One of the best things the internet has given us is viral videos. It’s pretty safe to say we’re better for having seen Charlie Bit My Finger and The Ultimate Dog Tease. They’re a fun way to kill some time and bring a smile to your face. The Ozarks have had their fair share of viral videos over the years. In fact, we’ve had so many that we decided to separate the best by creating the first ever Viral Video Hall of Fame for the Ozarks. These are the best of the best viral videos to ever come out of the Missouri Ozarks. Without further ado, here are the first ballot Hall of Famers.
Instagram Husband
You knew this one was gonna make the list. Perhaps the most viral video ever to come out of Springfield, Instagram Husband has been viewed all over the world. It was shared on countless news sites and late night shows. The creators of Instagram Husband have made tons of great stuff over the years and many of them perform on the area’s only late night talk show, The Mystery Hour.
Ice Trampoline
2,000,000+ Views
Back in February of this year, Brody Berryman captured one of the area’s most watched videos of all time. His buddy Dylan McNew simply jumped on a trampoline and the whole world wanted to see it. The tramp was covered in ice and Berryman’s solid use of slow motion made it look super majestic, crackling all around McNew. The jumper described it as “pretty cool.” We concur Dylan.
The KY3 Robber Sketch

Ladies and gentlemen, the comedic timing of Ethan Forhetz! This hilarious video was from a KY3 broadcast in February of 2018 in which Forhetz masterfully delivered the news that police were searching for a man with a sketch that was…let’s say pretty basic. The sketch was seen around the world, but what made this video so popular was Forhetz’s flabbergasted description to KY3 viewers. Certainly one of the funniest moments in KY3 history right here!
The Best Washer in the World
9,600,000+ views
It’s the simple things in life. In this video, Hurt’s Donut owner Kas Clegg loads an absolutely huge pile of laundry into her new washer. Before you comment on how she’s mixing colors, relax for a minute. This load was just to show how big it is. Clegg knows how to do laundry, so please don’t contact her about it. She’s also no stranger to viral videos, having created some super-memorable moments at Hurts. More on that in a minute.

Lexi Vaught deserves this spot in the Hall because of her sense of humor. She took this blooper in stride and really had fun with it. It ended up on the Today show and about ten million other places on the internet. In her defense those floors are very slick when you’re just wearing socks!
Hurt’s Scary Clown Donut Delivery
7,000,000+ Views
Kas and Tim Clegg’s Hurt’s Donuts always has something creative going on. They piggybacked on the release of the It remake in 2017 to offer Creepy Clown donut delivery and the internet loved them for it. The videos got picked up by Delish on Facebook and plenty of other places as well. People just loved seeing a terrfiying clown bringing people delicious donuts.

You can’t make this stuff up. That’s what Callie Schenker said when she posted this adorable video of her one-eyed pony Cricket giving a free ride to her neighbor’s corgi. It makes you wonder what your pets do when you’re not around! How in the world did he get up there?! It doesn’t really matter because it’s so darn cute. Don’t worry, none of the animals were hurt. If you want to see more from Cricket the One Eyed Pony, check out his Facebook page!

Ok, we’re gonna get sentimental for a minute. This video is more locally viral than traditionally viral, but we’re putting it in anyway because we love Springfield. This is one of favorite videos celebrating how awesome our city is. It was put together by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and we think it sums up the opportunity and beauty of this town better than any other video in recent years. Kudos Chamber!
